WE CELEBRATED OUR sixth ANNIVERSARY October 12-13, 2007!!

THANKS FOR A FANTASTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!   Now we are skipping the 2008 Festival.... Stay tuned for info about 2009.

An item I forgot to mention at the evening concert:  THE RESULTS OF THE GREAT T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!      (For the benefit of those who were not present--It's not what you might think!   We displayed the six T-shirts Autumn Acoustics has sold over its six-year history and asked participants to vote on their favorite shirt.   Each was a different color and design.)     AND THE WINNER WAS.....(drum roll!!!).......

The light green shirt from year 2004!  If you still have  yours, you have a winner! There were 44 votes cast and the results were 2004 light green, 11; 2007 orange, 8; 2003 blue and 2005 red, each got 7 votes; 2006 dark green, 6; and 2002, 5 votes.

Instructor/Performers in 2007 included Stephen Seifert, Mike Anderson, and Bev Robbins on Mtn Dulcimer; David Moran, Rick Thum, and Janis Huff on Hammered Dulcimer; Joe Morgan and Earl Armstrong on Guitar; Chris Talley Armstrong on Fiddle; Bob Worley on Banjo; Bud How on Mandolin; Ken Jackson on Harmonica; Zane Prosser on Stand-up Bass, and Bonnie Pooker on Autoharp.  Mike Anderson also emceed our evening concert and was very entertaining in that role!  Rick Thum capably led the Friday jam session and the grand finale at the concert!   Good attendance and good music!   What fun!!!

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED MAKE AUTUMN ACOUSTICS A SUCCESSFUL MUSIC FESTIVAL.

Folks asked us to make it an annual event--so we proceeded with that goal in mind.  However, at this point the Board of Directors has decided to take a year off, rest up a little, and perhaps come back with an even better festival in 2009.   This website will remain open so please check back every once in awhile...and good luck with your music ventures!  We appreciate the support we have received from our many excellent instructors and performers and from all who attended jams, concerts, and workshops.   Perhaps we will be seeing you at some of the other great music festivals!
